Evoasis announced today that it has formally begun rollout and development of multiple EVSTAT Rapid-Charge and retail facilities in the United Kingdom, European Union and United States markets.
The company is also planning to build 2 Centres of Excellence, one in Europe and one in the United States, to work in Partnership with other companies and institutions of higher learning. These facilities will focus on all aspects of the sustainable transport sector with special emphasis on battery technology, rapid-charging systems, vehicle telematics and charge location roaming and reconciliation of payment schemes. In addition, advanced and post-graduate degree and Fellowship programs will be offered and facilities will host online education in areas of expertise from vehicle systems design engineering and test to EV technician and vehicle diagnostic/maintenance courses.
“We believe that vehicle manufactures will require both varying charge specifications and battery maintenance and power control certification requirements for facilities that undertake rapid-charge of their fleet, private and specialty vehicles”, said Angus Clark, Managing Director of Evoasis, Plc. the Parent company of the group. “The lifespan of the vehicle batteries will only be optimized by careful adherence to proper procedures and conditions, along with access to full history of each charging event and other relevant data”. “In the case of batteries that are not part of the vehicle purchase, but rather are leased by a 3rd party finance function, the level of care required will be even higher to assure the maximum lifespan and financial viability of the lease program, Warranty compliance and after-life as an energy strorage device when no longer useful for the vehicle”.
As Evoasis expects these conditions to vary depending on the battery type, vehicle type, battery chemistry used, vehicle size, weight, payload, duty cycle and operating conditions, it is their position that vehicle charging operations will need to be Certified to perform these procedures and only certified facilities will be considered when vehicles are purchased.
“This has held true for most post-sale vehicle maintenance historically” said Clark. “Whether it was Warranty-Approved maintenance centres or even tires, vehicle manufacturers have held post-sale maintence and repair to a high standard with most major marques requiring adherence to a list of recommended, certified facilities and/or dealerships when the vehicle is still under manufacturers Warranty or lease fnance”. “We see no reason to believe this will not also hold true for EV and PHEV vehicles entering the market in the coming years”.
EVSTAT Rapid-Charge facilities and their partner operators intend to be among the first to be certified across the full spectrum of vehicles operating in the electric future. EVSTAT facilities are designed as stand-alone facilities or as fully-integrated operations within existing buildings, shopping centres and public transport facilities.

EVSTAT/Mini Supermarket complex in busy high street employs car-stacker systems which can also rapid-charge the vehicle while parked
